The canvas has been laid on board. There is some scattered small spots of cosmetic retouching, including some tiny spots in her skin tones, a light scratch to the right of her and some tiny spots of paint flaking between the figures and some hairline craquelure (visible in the catalogue illustration).
Held in an elaborate gold-painted frame.
