Catalogue Note
A tombak covered food dish of similar form and decoration appeared in an exhibition in London (Grunberg and Torn 1988, no.45). Another related example of a sahan was sold through these rooms as was a version of this form copied in the pottery of Kutahya, 11th October 1996, lot 98 and lot 81, respectively.
