Condition

The canvas has been relined. There are some retouchings visible under UV light, notably a 2 by 2cm area in the Sultan's shoulder, two vertical lines (one 16 by 10cm long) in his feet and below him in the ground, and some strokes in the red cloak of the attendant to the left, with scattered minor spots elsewhere, and hairline craquelure overall. Held in a decorative gold-painted frame.
