of rectangular form standing on four short legs, comprising a lengthways-sliding lockable lid, opening to reveal a slik-lined interior with one small division, the exterior decorated with a diamond-shaped pattern with arabesques on the upper surface composed of applied elements in tortoiseshell, mother-of-pearl, metal wire, the edges with ivory and wood marquetry borders

Condition

In overall good condition, several tortoiseshell inlaid shapes replaced with bone, few hairline cracks in tortoiseshell, and ivory, few minor cracks in mother-of-pearl shapes, restoration to ivory section on one of legs, small loss to one of the leg brackets, part of lining along base missing, as viewed.
