Condition

Pile ranges from closely shorn, near original 1/10in. to low to knotheads in most of field. Oxidized dark browns and partially oxidized greens. Scattered foldwear. Upper end guardborder with small, 1in. repaired slit. Minor moth tracks; not extensive. Surface dirt and scattered stains: recommend cleaning. Ends with warp fringes. Sides with remanants of original purple silk selvages and with later overcasting, now with some losses and fraying. Reverse with burlap band sewn along sides and ends. Supple handle, luxtrous wool, should enhance with cleaning. Please note that a license may be required to export textiles, rugs and carpets of Iranian origin from the United States. Clients should enquire with the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regarding export requirements.
