Condition
Overall good condition; the original embossed leather upholstery to the seat in fair condition with some tearing to the edges and with some small holes to the seat; one side with two repaired cracks to ends of the scalloped apron and with one replaced trefoil drop; one foot with replaced blocks above the castor; tops of four legs appear to have been mounted with a metal or wood mount which is now lacking and remaining screw holes and shadow still exist; some age cracks to sides; some nicks, scratches and wear to edges.

Catalogue Note
It is interesting to note that the sunkwork to the rails is carved from the solid timber opposed to being applied. The embossed and tooled Turkish leather is also consistent with manufacture of this period.
