Catalogue Note

The William Astors were ordering several groups of serving dishes in the mid-1870s; these platters could be part of the four serving dishes orderd in 1875, the 28 oblong waiters ordered in 1878, or several less specific orders about the same time.

We would like to thank Mark Letzer for his help in researching the Astor Kirk orders.
