chased with sweeping partly-matted scrolling leaved and beaded tendrils against a matted ground, with openwork collars pierced with flowerheads encircled by scrolling foliage, demitasse pot with matching handle and spout joins, bases engraved with monogram MTC, and "Thaw 1902"
Provenance
The initials are those of Mary C. Thaw, mother of Harry Kendall Thaw, who shot Stanford White in 1906.
