  • Height 11 ½ inches; diameter 11 ½ inches
A 4-gallon crock incised with a leafy tree, three birds perched in its branches, flowers and grass below; details picked out in cobalt blue and brown glaze, with eared handles. Approximate 5 inch hair line crack to the right side.

Catalogue Note

The Clark Pottery Company was one of the longest lived pottery dynasties in the Hudson Valley, in operation from 1805 to 1899.  The mark present on this rare, three-color crock was only used from 1822-1852.
