sprigged around the pear-shaped body with various foliate and scroll devices, affixed with a serpent spout and handle.

Condition

The cover has probably been broken in half and is now restored and oversprayed. There is a minor restored chip to the edge of the lower portion of the spout's edge. The pot has restoration along approximately 4 inches of the rim, extending from the handle on the left to the spout on the right. The restoration is well done and it is not possible to accurately determine the exact nature of the original damage. There is a minor short fine haircrack running up from the underside into the footrim beneath the spout and another very minor short fine haircrack to the body just above the footrim near the handle.
