perhaps Thomas and John Wedgwood, 'The Big House', Burslem, the kneeling beast molded on one side with a gentleman and an attendant beneath an hexagonal howdah molded with figural, bird and flower panels, set with a 'notched' loop handle, the cover molded with four floral panels.

Apart from an extremely minor pinhead chip to the edge of the cover, both are in generally good condition.
