Condition

The following condition report comes from Simon Parkes, Inc. and is dated November 16, 2011: "This painting on paper has been mounted onto board. The paint layer is stable, clean and varnished. The paint layer is abraded in places and the paper seems to have received a couple of tears, one in the center of the work where a complex group of lines has been retouched and another in the upper center in the sky where similar yet less numerous restorations have been attended to. In the meadow by the houses in the lower right there is a vertical line of restoration and in the darker trees in the lower left there are other restorations. The painting could be hung as is however if it were to be cleaned, varnished considerably less heavily and retouched more accurately, it would be seen as a sharper and brighter picture than is visible today."
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
