Catalogue Note

The representation of Cuban flag is a highly unique feature of this bag. It's likely that the bag was created by a Sioux woman for a member of her family serving in the Spanish American war, 1898 to 1901. At the time Cuba was ruled by Spain and the US aided Cuba in it's quest for independence.
