Catalogue Note

This unusual garment features beadwork that suggests a Tlingit origin however the Kuthcin, or Loucheux, whom lived between the Tlingit and Eskimo, were influenced by the Eskimo, especially their v-shaped shirts. Its possible that one or the other tribe manufactured this garment reflecting a cross-influence of the other.
