  • wood
with a cylindrical grip, finely carved in two sections and tied together with cotton twine, the upper section resembling a grouse, with upturned head surmounted by a modest crest, the eyes inset with small glass seed beads; filled (presumably) with small pebbles.

Condition

Very good condition, with some wear consistent with age including: minor abrasion to the underside, minor hairline splits to the wood also on the underside.
