Description

  • haliotis, copper
composed of a tapering blade, with expanding midrib in high relief, and projecting tang, set into a hide wrapped wood grip, the pommel in the form of a voracious sea creature, with thick lips, jagged teeth, flaring nostrils, and pointed oval eye rims inset with plaques of brilliant abalone; fine aged patina overall.
