Condition

Good condition for an object of this type and age. Marks, nicks, scratches, and abrasions throughout consistent with age and use. Age crack to proper right side of torso. Hairline age cracks throughout. Insect damage and worm holes on reverse. Metal elements tarnished. Two long nails for attachment protruding from reverse have been bent down. The two horizontal elements are held in place with wood and cardboard shims, one wood shim with remnants of glue. Very fine layered and varied dark brown patina. The reverse inscribed in black ink "4643"; the horizontal elements painted on the reverse with "No. 1" and "No. 2" respectively. Bottoms of feet drilled for base pegs.
