the head of the God G distinguished by the barbels curling from the  mouth, with hooded scrolling brows over deeply sunken eyes, probably once inlaid, and wearing a long-lipped monster headdress;  in tan-orange stone.

Condition

Piece overall intact but shows erosion and some chips and natural cracking of stone. Note old loss on proper right ear and old chip to proper left side of front of headdress. Otherwise fine and strong sculptural appearance.
