Condition

Very good condition for an object of this type and age. Six circular whaletooth inlays to head, one at the top and one centering every other "spike" in bottom row nearest the shaft. Two inlays missing, and one with remnants of glue. Minor marks, nicks, scratches, and abrasions consistent with age and handling. Small flecks of white paint. White paint scuffs on head. Some minor chips to relief decoration. Base of club decorated with four concentric circles in relief. Exceptionally fine dark reddish brown glossy patina with encrustation in recesses.
