Excellent condition for an object of this age and type. Very minor hairline crack to top of head of male figure (visible in catalogue photograph). Chip to front near male figure's proper right foot. Pinhole in one side of tip of stopper. Remains of material inside gourd. Gourd with some blotches and residue. Accompanied by an assemblage of strips of dark cloth and leather straps fitting around gourd, not shown in catalogue photograph. Exceptionally fine, very oily reddish brown patina to stopper with black residue. Exceptionally fine oily dark reddish brown patina to gourd.
