Good condition for an object of this type and age. Minor marks nicks, scratches, abrasions throughout. Old chips to lower proper right eyelid and proper right side of upper lip, patinated over. Proper left ear pierced. Proper right ear pierced twice: lower piercing with a chip, and a second piercing above (made probably after first hole became unusable). Some chipping to edge and around holes for attachment on reverse. Wear to holes. Newer chip to proper left side edge. Holes in upper lip for insertion of teeth, now lacking. Exceptionally fine very dark brown glossy patina on front and back, with remnants of brown or red pigment and encrustation. Remains of a rectangular paper label on reverse.
