Condition

Overall in very good original condition. This chair belonged to Francis E. Zummach, who a lawyer in Sheboygan, WI and from 1939-1942 served as a coach of the Sheboygan Redskins of the National Basketball League. This chair, acquired very shortly after its production, served as his office chair throughout his law career. The chair remains in original condition. The wooden backrest with nicks, dings and surface scratches, consistent with age and use. There is a series of scratches and abrasions to the outer portion the proper left arm, and to a lesser extent the proper right arm, which are likely from contact with another piece of furniture. The original black leather seat with some rubbing to the finish, and some losses to finish along the front edge of the seat from use. The leather with light crazing, and a few minor surface scratches, none of which break the surface of the leather. The metal portion of the chair with some light discolorations consistent with the natural aging process of the material. This chair was sensitively used from many years, and remains in very good condition.
