Literature
Grete Jalk, Dansk Møbelkunst gennem, 40 aar, 1927-1936, Copenhagen, 1987, p. 245 (for a partial view of the sofa model in Henningsen's stand at the Cabinetmaker's Guild Exhibition, Copenhagen, 1936)
Condition
Overall in very good condition. The leather throughout has acquired a beautiful patina with age. With a few very shallow surface scratches, none of which have broken the surface of the leather. There are some minor discolorations to the leather which are consistent with age and use and visible in the catalogue illustration. The wooden feet with some minor edge nicks and dings also consistent with use. This sofa with its high back design and incorporated armrest is very sculpturally when seen in person. A very good example of superb Danish cabinetry and design.
