Condition

The present lot is likely a later pairing of the lamps and columns and were not paired together by Dupré-Lafon. The heavy lime finish is original to the pieces and was made likely to the specification of client or for export. Each of the columns show some minor edge nicks along the edges consistent with age. The top surfaces of the foot are inlayed in each with parchment. The parchment appears to have yellowed slightly and with some darker discoloration which are a result of the original glue used to adhere the material. With a few surface scratches as well to the parchment inlays. The lamps are executed with limed oak feet and parchment standards. The parchment shows some minor discolorations from the natural aging of the material. Each with some concentrated dark discolorations along the vertical edges, likely from handling. One of the lamps shows minor blue discolorations to two sides. The shades are later and well fitted to the lamps. Each is electrically stable and fitted with new cords.
