Condition

Overall very good original condition. This dynamic design with various intricately fitted compartments for storage. The ski bar was recently professional restored to repair looseness to the one of the top hinges. The original hardware was tightened and no additional restoration was required. The parchment elements of the bar with some scattered discoloration and light surface scratches, concentrated to the central portion to the outside edge, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The discolorations are the result of the natural aging process of the adhesive, which darkens to the paper. The lacquered elements of the outer case with some light abrasions and the one side with surface minor surface abrasions concentrated to one edge. The lacquer appears original throughout. The two parchment elements are hinged doors with open to reveal fitted storage compartment for glass and liquor. The central portion also with two hinged compartments that reveal additional bottle storage. The center, below the ashtray is a humidor with mahogany trays fitted for cigars. The brass feet with some minor surface rubbing and discoloration, which is consistent with natural aging process of the work. With light surface dirt to the interior elements. This piece is stunning in its degree of detailing and hidden functionality. Appears to lack the glass ashtray that appears in the period literature to the top. A very chic design in original condition.
