Condition
Overall in very good condition. The painted surfaces of the chair appear to maintain their original paint, and the upholstery possibly original. Metal elements of the chair base with some light rubbing to finish, and a few scattered chips. The aluminum elements with a few very light scuff marks from use. The upholstered elements with some rubbing, concentrated to the piping, which is consistent with gentle use. There is some light loosening evident on the upholstered cushions, which is the result of the slight compression of the seat fill, which is consistent with use and aging of the material. There are some minor losses (revealing plastic tubing) and rubbing to piping at the front of the seat. With an adjacent split to the upholstery at the piping seam, extending two inches, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The arms with some light rubbing to the finish at the top surface, which is evidence of use. Some minor edge nicks to these two elements, which are minor. This chair has been sensitively maintained and that care and attention are evident in the current condition of the work. A very rare model to appear at auction in this condition.
