Condition
Overall very good condition. Please note the measurements of these sconces, as they are large in scale and intended as wall sconces. The lower portion of these sconces rest on the ground. There is a small chain that attaches at the base of the standard, where the legs branch out, which affixes the sconce to the wall. This element is not shown in the catalogue illustration, and appears to be replaced with later chain. The present chain is not sturdy enough to hold the weight of the sconces, and would benefit from replacement. For the installation in the exhibition, we have chosen to reinforce these later chains. The metal components of the example with some scattered surface dirt and light rubbing to the finish. As seen in the catalogue illustration, the wiring from the electrical component is affixed to the frame, and therefore visible. This lot is also being sold with two sets of shades, one which appears more recent. The second set of shades lacking affixing hardware.
