Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The silver with a few minute and shallow surface scratches consistent with gentle use. The ivory handles with some expected light discoloration and age cracks, which are consistent with the aging process of the material. The ivory finials to the tea and coffee pots with age cracks consistent with age and light darkening, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The ivory on the handles showing minor irregularities inherent in the making. The handle of the teapot with a lacquer finish with rubbing and loos to the lacquer at the underside of the handle. This is only visible upon inspection of the underside and not visible when the work is righted. This is a rare service by the designer incorporating the ivory handles.
