Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The oak frame with some rubbing, slight discoloration and surface scratches consistent with age and use. Some additional rubbing consistent with use to the tops of arms and terminals of front legs. One loss approximately ¾ of an inch wide and 1/8 of an inch deep to the lower portion of the proper left back leg. The woven leather seat and back overall with rubbing, dryness and discoloration. The seat presently with some looseness as a result of age and gentle use. Additional rubbing and darkening to seat and seat back consistent with gentle use. With one area of concentrated darkening that measures approximately 3 ½ x 4 ½ inches to the center of the seat and two additional areas of staining to the proper right and lower edges of seat back. Original burlap webbing with a stain that is only visible upon inspection of underside of the chair. Please note that when viewed in person the leather presents as a lighter and more yellow tone than in the catalogue illustration. An elegant example of Scandinavian design and craftsmanship that has acquired a beautiful patina over time.
