Condition
Overall in good condition. Leather shows signs of age and use, with surface scratches, discoloration, dryness and rubbing throughout. Multiple repairs to leather: the largest is 2 ½ x 1 inches in size. The leather adjacent to one of the knobs with a ½ inch tear and slight lifting. The leather tape affixing the folder "doors" to the writing platform are later replacements. The leather lining the interiors of the "doors" with some rubbing and discoloration. The leather overwrap of all edges with scattered losses throughout consistent with age and use. One "door" with four repaired tears along one short edge and probably one repair on long edge. The area surrounding knobs with additional dryness, rubbing and prior restorations. The paper lined interior with some discoloration. The underside of the sous-main covered with brown felt. The silver currently presents with a few light surface scratches consistent with age and use.
