Condition

Overall in very good condition. With some very minor surface irregularities (air bubbles and inclusions) which are inherent in the glass and carving technique. The rim with a few irregularities, including a few minute burst air bubbles. With a ring of shallow tool marks to the circumference of the interior rim which are inherent in the making. One burst air bubble to the interior of the vase lip, ¼ inch below the rim, which is original to the production. The bottom edge of the vase with an imperfection, likely a minute burst air bubble and an inherent tool mark to the underbase. This vase presents with a range of well-defined colors, with only 2-3 very small areas where the colors have bleed into the adjacent pale ground. With scattered surface dirt to the interior. The top third of the vase, which appears black in color in the photograph appearing in the auction catalogue, is in actuality a deep purple tone with detailed carving that is offset by a black decorative border.
