Condition
Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 12 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base with some occasional light surface scratches, abrasions and rubbing to the high points of the patina consistent with age and gentle use. The base displays an exceptionally rich green and russet brown patina. This oil base was converted to electricity in the period, and most likely represents a period Tiffany factory conversion. The oil canister, which is now integral to the base unit and not removable, retains a period riser and socket cluster (including three period sockets and paddle switches). With a rare, elaborately decorated period finial. A very attractive unit, displaying an artistic and well-varied glass selection. When viewed in person, the glass utilized throughout the shade shows far greater nuances and subtleties than seen in the catalogue illustration, which is slightly over saturated and too red.
