Overall in very good condition. There are no visible cracks to the large linenfold glass panels comprising the central register of the shade. There are 6 minor cracks to the upper tile register below the shade aperture, and 6 minor cracks to the bottom tile register (the majority only visible from the shade interior under close inspection). The shade with one very tiny surface fleck to the highest contour on one of the linenfold panels (1/16 inch). The exterior surfaces on the shade and finial with some rubbing and depatination to the shade leading (as seen in the catalogue illustration), which appears to be the result of general household cleaning over the years. The gilt bronze surfaces on the base appear to have been cleaned and polished, showing minimal surface wear. On the shade and base, there are scattered traces of what appears to be a white cream polish in some of the recessed contours, as well as small scattered traces of green surface oxidation. One of the three sockets has been replaced with a modern pull chain; the other two sockets and paddle switches appear to be original and undisturbed. The lamp’s accompanying finial is in very good condition, and is inset with twelve linenfold glass panels and ornamented with a sculpted rosette knop. This lamp presents beautifully in person, displaying a highly desirable shade and base pairing. When illuminated the shade imparts a warm golden amber hue. In person the color of the illuminated glass is slightly less red than seen in the catalogue illustration. Please note that the interior top aperture of the shade is impressed with the additional numbers 9068 three times and 4 two times.
