Condition

Overall in very good condition. The set of six lily shades are an assembled set, and are all in very good condition, displaying strong color and luminosity to the iridized surfaces. Two of the shades with tiny pin-head size flecks to the top aperture rims (not visible when the shades are installed). The central urn-form shade is also in very good condition, displaying beautiful pulled-feather decoration and color. As expected, the central shade with some light surface scratches and abrasions to the inverted neck from continued surface contact with the bronze shade collar, and a few very light and fine surface scratches to the exterior. The patina on the gilt bronze fixture and shade collar possibly enhanced many years ago, as suggested by the slightly more matte surface appearance. The gilt bronze surfaces throughout with some light surface wear, rubbing to the patina with some occasional minor patina losses, and surface soiling consistent with age and use. The central socket rod with some minor areas of patina loss due to surface contact over the years with the shade stabilizer (not visible when the central shade is installed). All of the accompanying hardware has a corresponding patina and appears to be original. The floriform socket bobeches, porcelain lily shade sockets, and central socket all appear to be original and undisturbed. This chandelier presents quite beautifully in person, and its compact scale and proportion are very appealing.
