Condition
Overall very good original condition. This size and details of the table are quite extraordinary and the piece presents stronger in person than it appears in the catalogue illustration. The wood selected to execute this piece is highly figured with a dramatic free form edge. A key to the edge of the table stabilizes a natural fissure in the wood. The key is small, and executed in a delicate manner, so as not to interrupt the elegant lines of the slab. The table with a few surface scratches to the top and some concentrated to the lower portion of the base, which are consistent with use. The table has been very sensitively maintained, and shows only very gentle evidence of use. A superb example of a coffee table by Nakashima.
