Description
- George Nakashima
- Set of Six "New" Chairs
- with client's name to underside
- American black walnut and East Indian rosewood
Condition
Please note that these chairs incorporate hickory stays which were omitted from the materials listed in the auction catalogue. This is a very nice set of “New” chairs, which have been sensitively maintained. With some shallow surface scratches and a few scattered nicks to the legs, all of which are consistent with use. This set clearly originated together as the coloration of the wood is consistent throughout the group. A very good condition offering, with seats executed in nicely colored and figured walnut.
