Condition
Overall in good original condition. These chairs were designed to accompany the dining table (offered in this auction as lot 101). They are executed with laurel seats, which have been waxed throughout their history and present slightly shiny as a result. Two of the seats with cracks that extended the depth of the seat which have been sensitively stabilization by a professional restorer. The chairs overall display the same rich tone to the laurel of the other elements of the dining suite in the collection. These chairs have been sensitively maintained and show evidence of only gentle use. With some minor surface scratches, edge nicks and some isolated scratches and nicks to the lower portion of the legs consistent with use. the edges of the seats with light scratches, and one seat with a few shallow circular impressed marks, which are only visible on close inspection. A very nice set of chairs which show beautiful contrast between the rich dark laurel seats and the light caramel tones of the backrest stays.
