Condition

Overall very good original condition. With some scattered surface dirt. Each of the chairs showing minor losses adjacent to the fastening hardware at the sides of the chair back, which are consistent with use. Some evidence of restoration to these areas also, which are visible by the overpainting which is slightly different in tone. Both chairs with evidence of prior restoration to cover what appear to be cracks to the surface beginning at the fasteners of the backrests. These are executed in the same overpaint color, and the appearance could be minimized with professional restoration. One chair with an additional small area of lifting, measuring less than one inch in length to the chair frame adjacent to the chair back element. The chairs throughout show minor surface scratches and some small isolated areas of cracking to the surface. The interior of both chairs with some light surface dirt.
