Condition

Overall in very good condition. This screen shows evidence of wear and use including shallow surface scratches, minor losses to the veneer, edge nicks and dings. There are approximately two larger surface scratches to one middle panel, vertical in orientation, and measuring 1 inch in length. The lower and top edges of the panel show wear throughout and approximately six areas of losses and veneer losses, the largest measuring one inch in length. With smaller losses to veneer scattered throughout the panels at the extreme top and bottom edges. One panel with a stable age crack to beginning at the bottom of the panel and extending 15 inches. And second age crack to the opposite end of the same panel with a small series cracks to the veneer, one which is visible on both side of the screen. The cotton fabric between the panels appears original and is in fair condition with isolated discoloration to the top and bottom varying from one inch to six inches in length. The top and bottom edges showing fraying to the cotton webbing at the immediate edge and isolated areas of fraying on each strip approximately three inches up from the edge.
