Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The organic-shaped top with some minor surface scratches and few minor areas of discoloration only visible upon close inspection. The painted metal legs with losses, as seen in the catalogue illustration, which reveal the gray base metal. The losses to all four legs are concentrated to the lower half of the leg, which is consistent with age and use. The present example is a very rare form by Girard to be offered at auction, and epitomizes the design aesthetic of the designer and of the period.
