  • leaded glass and patinated bronze

Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 8-10 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base with some occasional surface scratches, abrasions and gentle rubbing to the patina consistent with age and use. As expected, there is rubbing with associated losses to the patina on the outer reaches of the shade arms where the shade has made contact over the years. The sockets and paddle switches appear to be period and undisturbed. A well-proportioned and attractive example of the model displaying nice vibrant color to the shade. When viewed in person, the glass selection in the shade is more nuanced than seen in the catalogue illustration which is slightly over saturated. The background passages are articulated in a brighter kelly green striated with opalescent white, and the fluer-de-lis devices and decorative bands are a vibrant orange-yellow.
