Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately three cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout, and with surface soiling to some of the recessed contours of the rippled glass. The gilt shade leading with some rubbing and scattered small losses to the gilding throughout. The gilt alligator patina on the base and finial with considerable surface wear, soiling and discoloration consistent with age and use, and with a few very small areas of surface oxidation on the top surface of the lower base. With replaced top riser, socket cluster and wheel. With a rare period finial with closed interior, which has a corresponding gilt alligator patina to the base. The underside of the finial knop appears to have been resoldered, and the threaded pin which secures the finial to the base wheel is presently too short (if desired this pin can easily be replaced). An attractive example of the model with an atypical glass selection and a highly desirable base pairing with a corresponding gilt patina.
