Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The leather throughout the chair with minor crazing, rubbing, some dryness and areas of isolated discolorations. The chair with a few areas of isolated small water spots to the seat, top of the backrest and a few other isolated spots. The reverse of the seat back to two areas of darkening measuring three inches in length along the seam lines. With minor abrasions and scratches to the rest of the reverse of the back rest. With another area of darkening to the top of the exterior of the proper right arm measuring ten inches in the length. With one area of cracking to the leather with a one inch in length break to the leather to the exterior of the proper left arm adjacent to the back seam. This area with dryness and more concentrated crazing as well. The arms and back of the chair with firmness to the chair stuffing, which is a result of age. The chair seat with compression from use, which has left the leather of the seat with some light slack, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The ottoman with more crazing, light dryness to the leather and surface scratches and a few minor liquid staining. Overall the ottoman currently presents in a slightly darker tone. The cushion of the ottoman with fastening hardware to the frame of the ottoman. The metal elements with light surface scratches for use. A very good original condition example of this rare Wegner design.
