This work is overall in good condition. The canvas is relined with wax adhesive. There are slight wears along the four borders.
There is no evidence of restoration under UV light.

"A landscape consisting only of grass and trees is apt to become monotonous, it will usually look better if it is broken up by a building or perhaps some water -a brook or the edge of a lake- this gives a chance to get in different colours which will set off the green by contrast."
