Condition

The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This painting has been recently restored and should be hung in its current condition. The condition seems to be particularly good. The canvas has an old glue lining. The paint layer is stable and well-textured. The cleaning may be conservative, which is certainly a welcome surprise. Further cleaning is not recommended, but there are vestiges of a dirt layer around the profile of the tree. There are no visible retouches and there has been no abrasion or damage.
