Condition
The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.:
This painting has been quite recently restored and should be hung in its current condition. The work is lined, cleaned and retouched. There are retouches in the left arm of the child, in a thin scratch in the right cheek of the mother and in the upper left towards the edge about six edges beneath the signature. There are also a few other spots of retouching, such as in the far right in the blue curtain. However, the condition elsewhere in the picture is extremely good.
