Condition
Overall in good condition. With some surface dirt and scattered minor scratches consistent with age. The leaves with minor edge chips and a few with losses to tips. The wreath worn by the male figure with two losses to grape bunches. The female bust with a shallow loss to chest approximately 3/4 inch in width and a repaired break to pedestal. These losses appear to be old and do not take away from the overall effect of this well-carved and charming pair.

Antonio Giovanni Lanzirotti studied in Palermo and Paris. On the occasion of the coronation Victor Emmanuel the Second he was commissioned to make two sculptures for the Palazzo Reale in Torino.
