comprising two brooches and one oval plaque, the brooches mounted in 14 karat gold, one depicting the doves of Pliny, the other Christopher Columbus, together with an oval plaque depicting nesting birds.

Condition

Overall in good condition. The Dove of Pliny circa 1820, Columbus; 3rd quarter 19th century; the birds. late 19th century. The gold setting on the dove of Pliny plaque is mid-19th century, the other is later.
