Catalogue Note
Linke title: Guéridon Louis XVI dessus marbre ceintures guirlandes.
This small table of typical high quality from the Linke workshops is one of many very similar tables that appear to have been constantly adapted by Linke to suit not only changing styles, but also to ring the changes with the numerous bronze master models available in Linke's workshops, as he built up his unprecedented repertoire of castings.
The same model in a smaller diameter was sold in these rooms, October, 26, 2006, lot 46, 36,000 USD.
