comprising a mantel clock and a pair of figural five-light candelabras, the clock with a twin-train movement impressed with the Marti pastille, the undersides of the candelabras engraved VP several times.

Condition

Overall in good condition. The candelabras currently wired for electricity but without plugs. The wiring is not internal, and has been affixed to the base and candle arms with metal wire. The gilt bronze surfaces of the candelabras and clock with minor nicks and scratches. The gilt bronze also with rubbing in places of high relief, particularly to the seated figures, where the bare bronze has been exposed in places on their legs and on the center of the three shields that decorate the bases of the candelabrums. Candelabras and clock with surface dirt consistent with age, all three pieces would benefit from a sensitive cleaning. The scrolled leaf decoration below each of the three shields on the candelabras' bases with a hole indicating a former decorative element that is now lacking. The scrolled acanthus leaf element sheltering the putto on the clock crest is slightly loose and while stable needs to be tightened. The proper left front scrolled leg of the clock is lacking the screw that connects it to the base. However this does not effect the stability of the construction. The clock case numbered '44025' and the movement numbered '1075 7-2.'
